An Interactive Storytelling Game (ISG) uses advanced storytelling techniques to create a story, often to be told in a single gaming session

• Characters are created by choosing a profession and selecting skills.
• Combat is quick and deadly, with a detailed hit location table, and combat maneuvers for different fighting styles.
• Weapons & Armor are arranged by the century and location where they came into general use. Choose from a range of over 500 weapons and hundreds of types of armor.
• Magic may be practiced by anyone that is willing to take the risks of burnout, insanity, or possession. The 13 disciplines of magic contain over 500 spells to choose from. The Church condemns the practice of witchcraft, and secret societies discreetly study the forbidden arts.
• Spiritual Warfare is fought over the souls of mankind. Fallen Angels and Evil Spirits constantly attempt to corrupt the souls of the living. Often the best defense in the war between good & evil is simple prayer, but Heavenly Angels and the intercession of the Saints will sometimes be needed as well.
• The Setting can be placed anywhere in Medieval Europe, from the ancient world to the 17th century. Two time periods (1121 A.D. & 1348 A.D.) are illustrated, allowing a story to take place in these settings, but other times can also be used.

The Storyteller will create a heroic quest for the characters, using a series of scripted scenes that build towards a final climax.

While the plot is created by the Storyteller, the story is created by the characters as they react to the events in the plot, defining how it is played out.
