Knights of the Dinner Table was created as an afterthought in 1990 - filler to take up space on the last page of a small press games magazine. Since then it has evolved through numerous magazines and is now a monthly comic book. The Tales From the Vault reprints the magazine strips.

Tales From the Vault #1 is a complete compilation of the KODT strips appearing in magazines from 1990 through 1997, in trade paperback format.
