Today, scientists generally agree that Easter Island was settled by Polynesian islanders, and the culture that produced hundreds of gigantic statues is related to others in the region.

Moai is a game that closely follows the developments and excesses of Easter Island's inhabitants. Their history is one of constraint: the carving of the statues combined with the limited food sources and rapid deforestation of the island to create a culture that became the victim of its own consumption.
